2023 brought a complete spiritual awakening for me. In my daily devotions, I came across a simple phrase that has drastically changed my life.
Discipleship is more about being and less about doing.
That caused me to take a step back and evaluate how I spent my time with God. I realized I spent more time doing the things that I thought would make me a good disciple and not nearly enough time just being in the presence of God. So I began a new routine, rising an hour earlier than usual each morning to simply sit in God’s presence, to listen for God’s voice, and to let my mind and body absorb all that God was pouring into me.
This simple change in routine created space for God to work in my life in ways I never imagined. It was in these moments of being with God that I heard a call to Arizona and a call to share the good news of God’s unconditional love with people who have never met God or have
fallen out of relationship with God.
This simple change in routine has brought me to serve the good people of Chino Valley. I am blown away by the changes God has brought forth in my life and so very excited to be on this journey with you. I am blessed to be your pastor and look forward to serving alongside you
as we share God in new ways and new places!
